Configuration file

Every wrangler.jsonc / wrangler.toml key rrangler reads, with environments, builds, crons and placement.

rrangler reads the first of rrangler.json, rrangler.jsonc, rrangler.toml, wrangler.json, wrangler.jsonc and wrangler.toml in the project folder. The keys are wrangler's, so an existing Cloudflare project usually deploys unchanged. The console and Studio do not need this file, but keeping one makes a project deployable from any computer.

Key	Meaning
`name`	The app's slug. `rr deploy` creates it if missing.
`main`	Entry file. JavaScript and TypeScript are bundled with esbuild; Python files are uploaded as modules.
`compatibility_date`, `compatibility_flags`	Runtime behaviour, as on Cloudflare. `nodejs_compat` enables `node:*` modules.
`build.command`	Shell command run before bundling (for example `npm run build`).
`vars`	Plain variables. Secrets go through `rr secret put`.
`kv_namespaces`, `d1_databases`, `r2_buckets`	Storage bindings; missing resources are created by name.
`queues.producers`	Send to a queue. The consuming app is set on the queue (console, or `rr queues create <q> --consumer <app> --batch-size 10 --max-retries 3`).
`pipelines`, `analytics_engine_datasets`	Event bindings.
`services`	Bindings to your other apps (`entrypoint` for a named class).
`durable_objects.bindings`	Durable Object classes exported by this app.
`workflows`	Workflow classes (`script_name` to bind one hosted by another app).
`triggers.crons`	Cron schedules (UTC).
`assets`	Static files: `directory`, `binding`, `spa`.
`placement`	`smart` or `closest`; `required_tags`, `preferred_regions`, `preferred_tags`.
`no_bundle`, `files`	Upload the listed files untouched instead of bundling.
`env.<name>`	An environment: `rr deploy --env <name>` deploys `<name>-<env>` with these overrides.
