Website acceleration (CDN)
Put an existing website behind the edge for caching, HTTPS and a firewall.
Open in the consoleIf your website already runs somewhere else, the CDN puts the edge in front of it. Visitors connect to a nearby node, which serves cached files directly and forwards everything else to your server (the origin). You get faster pages, automatic HTTPS and protection from abusive traffic.
Add a website
- 1Under Website acceleration, add the hostname and your origin address (for example
https://origin.example.comor an IP). - 2Create the CNAME record shown at your DNS provider, or host the domain's DNS here (see Domains and DNS).
- 3Wait for the certificate to be issued; the site then serves over HTTPS.
Caching
The edge caches what your origin allows with its Cache-Control headers, and you can add rules per path. Purge everything, or by prefix, from the console or with .
